I find myself scrolling through Facebook and coming across these videos of nanny’s and caregivers, and even parents abusing the children they are supposed to be caring for! It turns my stomach to think that anyone could or would do these horrific things to a child.
I remember when the babysitter was the girl down the street and parents didn’t have to worry about their little ones because they had been neighbors with their babysitters family for years. It pains me to try and put my mind around it all. I look into my beautiful baby boys eyes and I see someone that needs me, someone that is unable to do something- ANYTHING- that could make me mad enough to do anything to hurt him. Children are innocent and are a product of their parents, where they come from, and what they are taught.
I think this world has become a scary place to live, much less raise a family.
As a mother, I know that it is my job to make sure that my children grow up to be loving caring people, not people that would hurt others, or treat them badly. I know that every parent has their own way of raising their children, but if we could all teach just a bit more compassion and kindness, and a lot less hostility and anger it could help to change the future of our world drastically.
