Summary
My son has long outgrown his rear facing carseat. But trying to keep him occupied is important when I'm driving so I can focus on the road. Lately, he has learned that his reflection is cool, and he loves spending time staring at himself, and 'talking' to the baby in the mirror! I decided to use this in the car as a distraction for him so he can smile and play while we are traveling, hence helping to keep us safe on the go.
First of all, I do love this mirror. I have looked at many baby mirrors for the car in-store and the quality was not as good as I would have liked. I even bought one from a company that I had trusted for years to bring me quality goods, and was extremely disappointed in what I received for my money.
With this one, the mirror is probably the closest I have found to an actual mirror reflection without being made of glass! I also like that it is so big! This makes it much easier for my son to see himself. The back has a pivot piece that holds it off the headrest, and you simply attach it and then you can angle the mirror as needed. The straps are also really well made, and they clasp instead of having velcro. I am still not sure about this one thing as when I was putting it in the car, I pulled the clasp piece right off the end and had to thread it back on (which really wasn't too hard honestly), but it still needed to be reattached. It was easy to assemble the pieces, and easy to install in the car. Overall, I think this is a great option for any parent looking to have a car mirror for both a rear facing seat, or a forward facing one. It is made incredibly well, and as I said the mirror itself provides a great visual image! I would definitely recommend this product to other parents!!
